Mary finished her post-graduate work at the University of Virginia in Applied Physiology/Sports Medicine and then worked several years in corporate fitness, cardiac rehabilitation, athletic training and exercise rehabilitation before returning to school to study physical therapy. She has a passion for all things relating to endurance sports training and rehabilitation. For the past 20+ years she has worked exclusively in outpatient orthopedics and sports medicine setting, specializing in acute and chronic spine pain. Mary has gained a personal understanding of rehabilitation from the patient's perspective following brain surgery for removal of a benign tumor. She can appreciate the patience and persistence it takes to overcome obstacles and achieve goals. Her ultimate goal is to assist patients/clients in reaching their full physical potential through exercise and lifestyle changes.
