Mary finished her post-graduate work at the University of Virginia in Applied Physiology/Sports Medicine and then worked several years in corporate fitness, cardiac rehabilitation, athletic training and exercise rehabilitation before returning to school to study physical therapy. She has a passion for all things relating to endurance sports. For the past 20 years she has worked exclusively in outpatient orthopedics and sports medicine setting, specializing in acute and chronic spine pain. Mary has gained a personal understanding of rehabilitation from the patient's perspective following brain surgery for removal of a benign tumor. She can appreciate the patience and persistence it takes to overcome obstacles and achieve goals. Her ultimate goal is to assist patients/clients in reaching their full physical potential through exercise.
