Performing Arts

The performing arts program is meant to bridge the gap between healthcare and performing arts by offering services to help performers recover from injury, prevent future injuries, get stronger, and optimize their performance.

We understand that a performer’s body is unique and the demands placed on it are different than your typical athlete. Performers deserve to have individualized care from providers that understand the demands of their sport. Due to our extensive experience as performers, we are able to help our patients seamlessly navigate from injury to recovery and beyond. We will work with your instructors to help you return to performing in a safe manner that reduces risk of injury in the future. Our programs focus on educating, rehabilitating, and training performers to help them stay on stage as long as they desire. Whether you are a recreational artist-athlete, a competition dancer, a vocalist, a classical ballerina or a professional artist, we can help you.

frequently asked questions

Wear comfortable and loose fitting clothing to your PT visit; If applicable, your clothing should allow for visualization of the injured area.

The simple answer is NO. In the state of Georgia you can go to a physical therapist without a doctor’s referral. Exceptions may apply if your insurance requires a referral.

Your first PT visit will include a thorough evaluation of your complaint/injury. The therapist will then work with you to formulate a plan for treatment. If time permits, you will receive treatment on your first visit as well.

Google Reviews

I have known Mary Doyle Smith for several years and I was very happy with the PT results dealing with my lower back issues. Mary came highly recommended by Dr. Ruben Sloan of Resurgence in Atlanta. She is very professional, knowledgeable, caring and refreshingly honest! As of last week I started PT for my knee and I am very pleased with the initial progress I am making thanks to her recommendations and the video and written instructions outlining my daily exercise program. Stacy at the front desk is very helpful and accommodating with my insurance issues. This is my go to place for Physical Therapy! - Luisa R.

Your office staff made me feel welcome from the moment I walked in. They were very informative and helpful with my paperwork. Kelly Marcuzzi is the absolute best physical therapist ever!! She listened and asked questions about my pain. She was very gentle while working on my shoulder and back. She explained my “homework” thoroughly and succinctly. She even followed up with a text to see how I was doing! What a great experience this has been! Many thanks, - Diane Marco

Fusion has been treating me for a chronic shoulder tendinitis problem and inside of a few visits, I can feel substantial progress. I've found their practice to be welcoming, professional and extremely knowledgeable. The exercises are appropriate for my condition and get progressively more detailed as I make progress. I still have a way to go, but I'm confident that Fusion has my best interest in mind and they are sending me down the right track. I categorically recommend them - Art G
